Meet Jay Papasan
|
Jay Papasan is coauthor with Gary Keller and Dave Jenks on the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and BusinessWeek bestselling books The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and The Millionaire Real Estate Investor. He also collaborated with Rick Villani and Clay Davis to write Flip: How to Find, Fix, and Sell Houses for Profit, also a New York Times bestselling book. It’s not uncommon to spot Jay on CNBC discussing national trends in real estate, or simply having coffee with a first-time home buyer or investor to provide personal mentoring on specific home-buying needs.
Jay’s passion for real estate came as a direct result of another passion—writing and editing. Prior to joining Keller Williams, Jay was featured as a freelance writer in publications such as Texas Monthly and Memphis Magazine. He also spent several years as an editor at HarperCollins Publishers, where he worked on the New York Times bestselling books Body for Life, by Bill Phillips, and Go for the Goal, by Mia Hamm.
As Vice President of Publishing and Executive Editor at Keller Williams Realty, Jay oversees research for the coursewriting and franchise operations divisions. In 2007, he helped launch the Keller Center for Residential Real Estate Research at Baylor University, a multimillion dollar initiative to explore the real estate sales profession and the consumer traits that agents serve.
In his free time, Jay pursues his hobbies: fly fishing, soccer, and the quest for the ultimate key lime pie. He resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Wendy, and their two children, Gus and Veronica.
